It’s hard not to fall into line, but after a while you realize what you want for yourself. You set a goal. You plan to achieve it, but does it always work out?
Truth is, it takes time. It may be a few weeks, and those weeks could turn into months.. You could find yourself sitting in a similar position 2-3 years later. God forbid that is your portion. Amen.
1. Not every plan will prosper.
Although it is true when they say “If you can picture it, it’s already real.”, there are also other parts to that equation.
Plan + Hard Work + Speaking It Into Existence = Success
a. Plan – From start to finish. It helps to draw up/write down a complete plan before moving forward. Unfinished plans 9.5/10 times fail. (I know.)
b. Hard Work – Try not to bite off of someone else’s work. Using certain elements and ideas from places you visit often as inspiration is okay, but copying and pasting their idea(s) from top to bottom .. Don’t be that person.
c. Speaking It Into Existence – Write. Everything. Down. Saying what you want to accomplish out loud is a main part of the process, but also writing it down on paper. Read it every day if you have to. Keep that one thing in the back of your mind at all times. If you want it bad, it will surely happen. Can I get an “Amen”? Amen.
2. Change does not have to wait until the new year.
This whole #NEWYEARNEWME .. It’s tired. Leave ol’ girl in 2017, abeg.
If you’re waiting for a new year in order to make changes in whatever aspect of your life, kuku wait for the next year, and the one that follows. You are honestly wasting your time.
3. Not everything and everybody will follow you into the New Year.
If your surroundings do not consist of 99% positivity and love, something is wrong. You should feel comfortable and confident in every and any situation. We as human beings have a gut feeling. When we first meet people, or when we enter a new space, we can tell whether we’ll like the person/place or not. Not to get that confused with judging. We’re not necessarily “cutting them off”, but stopping a bad habit in a way.
4. Consistency is key. (We will carry this into the New Year.)
Keep working hard. Your efforts will be acknowledged, and from there who knows what will happen. Just know that some day you’re going to look back at the time you first pictured how your life was going to be.
More blessings. More love. More growth. All 2018.
