Vendors in China have been selling live animal keychains for years: plastic bubbles containing trapped turtles, fish, salamanders and frogs. The price to buy one of these so called “fashion accessories” is just $1.50. Sadly, the animals die after a few days as the supposed crystallized oxygen and nutrients within the bag run out, leaving the animal to die of starvation or suffocation.
