Our family is trying to raise money to support an amazing grandmother:

The boys call her Mammy, but their little sister calls her Momma.  This is the only Mom she has ever known, the only stability, the only love.  Five years ago Mammy became the guardian of her three young grandchildren ages 6, 4, and 1.  Five years ago, she went from empty nester to Mom of three youngsters who needed everything she could give them.  

They live in a small apartment, and have to survive on food stamps and the kindness of neighbors. Mammy had hoped to have saved enough money to buy a car before winter, but her plans had to change.  Maybe next summer, she says. Until then, they walk the hour to and from the grocery store together. Mammy, the boys, and their little sister. Her attitude is amazing. She never complains. Through any type of weather, she walks to school to pick up her kids.  Through any type of weather, they walk home, together.

It’s not easy, but their life is full of love. It can be so hard, being a mom again in today’s world of uncertainty, but the love in this family can be felt by all. 

If you could please share this or give a small donation, we could help this wonderful family. Our aim is to be able to purchase a safe, used car for them. But if we can get enough for them to have access to something just for the winter it would really help!
