My teacher just compared abortion to holocaust. And most people in my class agreed that abortion is a definite no. And I just…I’m so angry, I don’t understand how people can think like that
Maybe other people have said this, I don’t have the energy to wade through the notes, but anon’s teacher is also a straight antisemite too. Trotting out the Holocaust to compare it to other tragedies or perceived tragedies is disgusting, and it creates a form of oppression olympics, while also denigrating the actual suffering of those involved.

Meet Gisella Perl, a doctor who performed abortions on Jewish women to save them and their children from torture. She’s a goddamn hero. When she found out what was happening, and that she had a chance to save women from being tortured to death in ways that are unimaginable in a civilized society, she performed abortions for them. She saved them. Don’t ever trot out the Holocaust to try to erode the rights of people with uteruses to make choices about their bodies.
